Allegations of vote buying and selling are swirling around football’s Zurich-based world governing body FIFA.

One upshot is Switzerland’s defence and sports ministry has asked for a review on corruption laws.

The aim is to determine whether Switzerland needs to close loopholes that stop sports governing bodies being prosecuted for corruption.

SAFP President and Sports Lawyer Dr. Lucien W. Valloni is of the opinion that no new regulations are necessary. Passive corruption is already punishable and the sports organisations are not excluded from the Swiss unfair competion act if competition is at stake.  Listen to the interview on world radio Switzerland.
