“It is with deep regret that we have all learnt of the earthquake, the devastating tsunami as well as the nuclear catastrophy that struck Japan and its population in the last days.
On behalf of the Swiss professional footballers I want to express our deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to the people in Japan and the members of the Japanese Players Organisation JPFA and their bereaves families and friends, especially those who lost their loved ones.
We truly admire all people who are working hard and with all the threats for their life to help all suffering people and help diminish all negative consequences in connection with the critical nuclear plant situation.
We hope to be able to help in some kind of form in overcoming the devastating situation in the not to distant future.
We sincerely wish you to be able to not abandon hope and to help build a safer environment.”
